FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Hino Companies Combine Efforts for Katrina Relief

Southaven, MS – September 30, 2005
– When they saw the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina, the employees of Hino Trucks knew exactly what they could do as new corporate residents of Mississippi – they donated three trucks to the City of Waveland, MS, and two trucks to the City of Bay St. Louis, MS, two areas hardest hit by the storm.

Hino Motors Sales (HMS) and Hino Motors Manufacturing (HMM) are both United States based subsidiaries of Hino Motors Ltd. headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. All three firms are TOYOTA Group Companies. The three organizations combined their financial efforts to cover the cost of providing the trucks for permanent ownership by the two Mississippi cities.

“We are happy to donate these trucks to both Waveland and Bay St. Louis as our part of the relief effort,” said Hiroji Kurayama, President of Hino Motors Sales USA Inc. “We know that trucks will play a major role in bringing necessary supplies to the people affected by this storm. We are giving these trucks to these cities on behalf of our HML, HMM and HMS employees and our many dealers across the nation.”

Hino Motors Sales recently opened a national parts distribution facility in Southaven, MS. The Hino companies moved quickly to join many other corporations in supporting the Katrina relief effort.

Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. (HMS) is the Detroit, MI headquartered distribution arm of Hino Motors Ltd. based in Tokyo, Japan. HMS sells and services a full product line of Class 4-7 Medium Duty Trucks through a nationwide dealer network. The Company assembles its products in Long Beach, CA and operates a National Parts Distribution Center in Southaven, MS. Toyota owns controlling interest of Hino Motors Ltd.
